The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tolon constituency who doubles as the Second Deputy Majority Whip, Alhaji Habib Iddrisu, has charged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to intensify its campaigns and ensure that the party sweeps 90% of polling stations in the area.
The lawmaker who was acclaimed parliamentary candidate for the Tolon constituency on Sunday January 21, 2024, appealed to voters to vote massively for him and the NPP Presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia with a higher margin than the 2020 votes.
He called on all executives in the constituency to stay United to ensure that the party wins massively in the constituency to help ‘break the 8’.
“ I’m calling on all party members to start the campaign from the grassroots level to the top and ensure that we win over 90 polling stations in the constituency in the 2024 general elections”.
An Extra ordinary Constituency Delegates Conference supervised by the Tolon District Electoral Commission led by district electoral officer, Benjamin Teye, declared Habib Iddrisu as the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for the NPP after 696 delegates from 24 electoral areas, Constituency executives and council of elders affirming the incumbent MP.
The Majority Chief Whip, Annoh Dompreh who graced the event commended the Tolon MP for the massive developmental projects in the constituency and urged the good people of Tolon to retain the Tolon MP and ensure that Vice President is voted president in the 2024 general election for more development in the area.
