Daniil Medvedev, the current world No. 3 tennis player, has taken the world by storm with his aggressive baseline game and captivating on-court persona.

But behind every champion stands a strong support system, and for Daniil, that system is anchored by his parents, Sergey and Olga Medvedev.

Born in Moscow in 1996, Daniil’s parents, both Muscovites themselves, instilled in him a love for sports and extracurricular activities from a young age.

Sergey, a computer engineer turned entrepreneur, and Olga, a homemaker, encouraged Daniil to try swimming, running, and eventually, tennis.

It was Olga who spotted a flyer for group tennis lessons at the pool where Daniil took swimming classes, and at the age of six, his tennis journey began.
