Sheriff Berdnik Death Cause, Did He Commit Suicide?

The body of Passaic County, New Jersey, sheriff Richard Berdnik was discovered inside a restaurant in Clifton, New Jersey, on Tuesday.
Law enforcement officers said it looked like he committed suicide.
Sources claim that Berdnik, who was re-elected in 2022 after serving as the Passaic County sheriff since 2011, committed suicide inside Toros Restaurant.
Before becoming the county sheriff, he had been employed with the Clifton Police Department for almost thirty years.
Berdnik shot himself in the bathroom of the Toros Turkish Restaurant in Clifton, New Jersey, on Tuesday afternoon, at around 3:30 p.m.
New Jersey’s top legal official, Attorney General Matthew Platkin, called Berdnik’s suicide an incredibly tragic loss for the state.
